WINE DETAILS
This light and elegant blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris comes from vines grown in clay-limestone soils and tended as part of a living ecosystem, thanks to Julien Albertus’s push towards organic and biodynamic practices.
Hands-off winemaking at its best, with zero additives at any step of the vinification or aging process. Fermented with native yeasts, two years of aging in stainless steel tanks. Red fruits, pleasantly tart, structured but easy to drink. In a word: delicious.
Kumpf et Meyer
Established in 1997 by Sophie Kumpf and Philippe Meyer, who both hail from families of Alsatian winegrowers, Domaine Kumpf et Meyer has upheld organic practices from its inception. In 2010, Philippe departed from the venture, leaving Sophie to carry on the domaine's legacy. Supported by Julien Albertus, Sophie initiated a shift towards biodynamic methods in their vineyards. Their estate spans 16 hectares, comprising 70 small parcels that stretch across a 15-kilometer expanse, encompassing five communes in the Alsace region.
