Copper-colored and rosy, this is a skin-contact pet-nat sparkling made of Pinot Gris and Auxerrois, two Alsace varieties that give spice, herbal qualities, and ruddy, hearty stone fruit flavors. Fresh but potent, this is a 'dark' pét-nat with character — a really interesting example of the variety of sparkling wines possible in Alsace's highly varied terroir. Pairs brilliantly with food, but has enough body and texture to satisfy on its own too. Great acidity. A real wine with finesse and balance.

Domaine Kumpf et Meyer

Domaine Kumpf et Meyer was founded in 1997 by Sophie Kumpf and Philippe Meyer, both children of Alsatian winegrowers. They worked organically since the beginning. In 2010 Philipe left, and Sophie continued work at the domaine, assisted by Julien Albertus. Julien began transitioning to biodynamic techniques in the vineyards, which encompass 16 hectares spread out on 70 small parcels extending 15 km north to south across 5 communes in Alsace.
