Michaël Georget’s domaine is situated in Laroque des Albères in the “blue mountains of piedmont” as the slopes around Banyuls and Port Vendres are called. Michaël is originally from Chinon in the Loire and at the age of 15 started to work with a nearby winemaker and quickly grew an interest in biodynamic agriculture. He decided to increase his knowledge and traveled around France learning from people who were using biodynamic practices. Today, Michaël embodies just about every signature trait of a real-deal natural vigneron. You won't find any machine's in Michaël's vineyards as he prefers to work the land with his two horses, Goliath & Paco. He proudly refers to himself as a "paysan", which directly translates to "peasant" in english, a word that doesn't have a very positive connotation, but as someone who truly lives off the land and embraces a simple life, Michaël holds that title with pride.
